The Lawford Family {a fresh 48 film}

Is your family a good fit for a family film? YES!!

Still images are timeless and wonderful, but oh, to capture their twirls and squeals and tiny voices. Don’t wait…they are changing way too fast! These are truly my new OBSESSION!  Check out this precious family’s Fresh 48 Story Session Film.  I so WISH I had one of these for each of my babies.

Birmingham, Alabama Children’s Photographer {durie family}

The word that comes to mind when I think about this session is “enchanted” closely followed by “magical”.  It was raining when we arrived at our location, as it had been the entire afternoon.  I was so happy that this mama was willing to give it a shot anyway in hopes that the rain would clear. And it did.  And beauty emerged.

Birmingham, Alabama Lifestyle Photographer {the barger family}

You know all the little things you see as a mama?  The ordinary every day sort?  Sleepy heads coming down the stairs for breakfast.  Tiny noses and hands pressed against glass waiting for Daddy.  Tubs full of soapy bath babies.  Snuggles in laps. Well-loved books read in all the silly voices.  These are sacred.  These are your stories and theirs.  I enjoy the timelessness of a posed session, but this goes a bit deeper and captures the fabric and song of your family.  This time next year, they will be a year older.  Let me capture your family as it is now. Let me capture your story…

I was over the moon to spend a little time with the Barger family as they said goodbye to their Alabama home.  Of course “home” is wherever a family is together, but a beautiful season of life unfolded in this place, one I hope I was able to bottle up and send with them to remember for years to come.

Pretty, Happy, Spring Things

It is no secret that spring is my most favorite time of the year.  Namely March.  And it is purely coincidental that my birthday is also in this glorious month.  I threw together a list of fun “springy” things to kick the month off and to hopefully inspire me to actually post more to this poor, neglected, little blog…

{a}  {b}  {c}  {d}  {e}  {f}  {g}  {h}  {i}  {j}

{a}.  The Farmhouse Cookbook:  Pretty self explanatory.

{b}. Blooming Zinnia Grow Tin:  Because wildflowers are my favorite.

{c}. Lake pjs:   These just look so soft and comfy!

{d}.BedStu Soto Sandals

{e}. True Cotton Art Print: Reminds me of a certain little someone, and would look sweet on her wall.

{f}. Voluspa Gogo Tarocco Orange: My sis burns this, and it is divine!

{g}. Fujifilm Instax: Because mint!

{h}. Sphere hanging baskets from Terrain

{i}. Sweet Auburn Studio Tassel Necklaces: The happiest spring accessory!

{j}. Kavu Crosstown Bag (Flight): Because I’m 34 and still don’t typically carry a real grown-up purse.

Birmingham Children’s Photographer; Birmingham Family Photographer {the Bowdens}

I had such a great sunset session with our dear friends!  We sure do love some Bowden boys at our house!  I especially love that Amanda brought along the firefighter outfits that her boys often wear to capture this sweet time in their boyhood.
